"Ponderosa made me fall in love with Mindoro all over again. Ponderosa gave us a chance to experience the beauty of Mindoro away from the usual beach towns. Nestled in the side of the mountain 15 minutes from Port Balatero, it seemed like it had its own climate characterized by misty mornings and a cool mountain breeze. Accommodations were so comfortable, food was great, staff was so welcoming and thoughtful. You could play a round of golf anytime during the day and enjoy their VR golf room if you feel like staying in. There are also some interesting trails for hikers. And if you wanted to go to the beach, drive down 15 minutes to hit Sabang or White Beach - Both have been cleaned up and fixed (great job on the board walk) and boasts some great places to eat and just hangout. Definitely going back here. Big fan once again of Mindoro and Ponderosa. 5 stars all around! "

"Ponderosa is the perfect, peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Galera and White Beach. The accommodation we stayed in felt very new and everything was in excellent condition. The view from the unit was exceptional, and the balcony in front of the room was the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. The restaurant is a lovely open (but undercover) verandah-style restaurant with a great view, beautiful decor and excellent food. The host and staff were simply amazing - very friendly, helpful and really went out of their way to make our stay a comfortable one. "We frequent Puerto Galera almost every year but our annual Puerto Galera getaway took a different turn this time. We heard about this place with killer views, and let me tell you, it lived up to the hype! The room was spotless, and the balcony faced the ocean! We've had a great sunny weather while we were there, making everything sparkle. They've got this restaurant with a great selection. Now, we're not golfer, but hey, they've got a golf thing going on. We didn't swing any clubs, but we did take a stroll around the golf area. The view there is just as amazing! Golf in the sky I would call it??:) Now we've found our spot in Puerto Galera, a serene escape from the city buzz where it's just my partner and me soaking in the good vibes.
